What is Counseling?
Counseling is a collaborative and confidential process that involves a trained professional, known as a counselor or therapist, providing guidance, support, and expertise to individuals, couples, families, or groups who are seeking help with personal, emotional, behavioral, or relationship challenges.
The practice aimed at assisting individuals in understanding and resolving difficulties helps to promote mental and emotional well-being leading to an enhanced quality of life.
A series of structured sessions help to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to express their thoughts, feelings and concerns. The counselor then begins to help clients explore their thoughts and emotions, gain self-awareness and develop strategies to cope with challenges more effectively.

Having practiced as a counseling psychologist for 30 years and an expert in several psychotherapy treatments like SFT (Solution Focus Therapy), EFT, Hypnotherapy, CBT, NLP, TA, Mindfulness and Yoga. He is an expert in his field and an international trainer in clinical hypnosis. He possesses a master’s degree in psychology, PhD Clinical Psychology and Hypnotherapy from Sunrise University Rajasthan and is an achiever of a lifestyle specialist course (PGDPPHC) from the reputed Apollo Hospitals. Having also passed a Yoga TTC from the International Sivanadha Yoga Vedanta Centre from Neyyardam Kerala. He completed a Mindful Life Management Course (NAMI) from the Department of Psychiatry Gov. Medical College Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. And has also attended a trainers workshop for youth Mental Health NIMHANS, Bangalore.
Having conducted numerous projects with high school teachers, higher secondary teachers, jail inmates, suicide prevention workshops etc. He has also conducted special projects for all SSLC and +2 students of all schools of Thalassery municipality, Kerala.
He has also conducted more than 5000 programs for people from different walks of life including police officers, youths, house wives, residential associations, doctors, journalists,, advocates, kudambasree.
A publisher of many articles on mental health and other related topics across all forms of visual and communication media.
An author of 13 books in the discipline of psychology including ‘Obliteration Of Stress’ an English book that highlights the many factors and causes of stress and tips on how to overcome the same.
Also anchor of ‘Hypnorama’ a psychology related program that aired in Doordarshan in 2000, interviewee of ‘Sargasallapam’ a show in Kairali channel. Appeared in ‘Manasinte Pravachakan’ a documentary that aired in Kairali channel. Also featured in ‘Padam Moonnu’ a short film for children.
He has also conducted program for jail inmates for positive mental evolution in 2013-2014 which was a first in Kerala. Successfully conducted training in ‘Forensic Hypnosis’ for Sub Inspectors in Police Training College.
He is also a faculty of Diploma courses and PG Diploma courses conducted by Calicut University. Also a visiting faculty in Sunrise University ,Rajasthan and MS University Department of Psychology in Gujarat.

Having extensive training in mental health and wellness with an MSc in Clinical Psychology specialized in depression and anxiety related disorders, relationship issues, trauma, exploration of identity and life transitions, mind-body connection, managing chronic medical/health conditions and the bidirectional relationship between physical and mental health.
Evidence based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy, Stress Management and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Psychodynamic and Existential Psychotherapies.
Using an integrated approach Hazeema pulls from these various modalities in a way that is tailored to the needs of each unique client, she is passionate about helping couples rediscover emotional intimacy and rebuild trust and reconnect.
